Here is one from Sept 21st by the OP.

Looks to me like it says it was posted on Sept 20th...and is currently marked "SOLD." There's no time stamp on it that I could see...so I would venture to guess it was posted earlier in the day and the snake sold quickly thereafter. Which isn't surprising...it's a rather stunning animal.

I guess I don't get the relevance of that ad link.

Meh....I shouldn't try posting on BOI at 1:30am. Not enough neurons left awake. Info - Mike McGrath BAD BUYER (3) The snake sold days after that ad was posted, not the same day as I was thinking a moment ago. Anyhow....why post the link at all? Someone had implied that someone else was currently trying to sell that animal. Info - Mike McGrath BAD BUYER (4)

OK folks, to sum it up i found that ad i was refering to. it was listed on cincinnati craigslist for $350.00 as a proven male breeder. same pictures same guys clothing that was holding him so i repsonded to the ad. i talked to the guy once in a quick email but after i asked him for more pictures he didnt have any so then i asked him how could he sell me this snake when the snake was just sold on a forum to someone else but he still has it for sale? his response was for me not to email him again lol. well i flagged the listing and i also called called there frad dept. they said they would check on that right away. well it wasnt anytime the ad was taken down and i got an email back in response to it basically stating thank you for contacting us on a very potential fraud claim and that it is under investigation. so to make it short someone had stolen this guys pictures and tried to scam money with it not even having the animal.

Ya know Dayton, Ohio does not have it's own craigslist. Cincinnati would be the next closest major city ( other than Columbus) sounds very similiar to the MO of this scammer:

Just one of many posts and aliases of the scumbag!

yes scammers are scumbags i do have to agree and it is unfortunate for people like me and others that are just collectors gets the (shaft) as i put it in some situations not really knowing any better. but now since i am on a couple of forums i have learned more and more about how alot of them have tried to scam using several forums and craigslist to do so. and capt you are correct the BOI and its members rock... and have saved me alot of money and problems by putting forth the issues and rip offs of some of these scammers and supposively reputable dealers. i am very cautious when buying anything thanks to the BOI.

The following post includes: MY OPINIONS ONLY, WITH NO FACTS OR EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THEM.

I believe this was just an unfortunate transaction. I understand that you really needed the money, but I would have been disappointed too, especially after so much conversation and having my heart set on such a gorgeous (prettiest I've ever seen) burm. His comment about buying water in gallons came off as sour to me. If you're tight money already, you're not going to spend bookoo bucks on water jugs just to make sure this particular customer gets the snake. I don't think either one of you did anything wrong. I don't think this thread should be here, and I don't think his thread should be here (if it is) either. It was an unfortunate dealing, and you are

both

good guys, or atleast not bad guys. Niether one of you is in the right or wrong. It's not as if you lost any money or anything else. All you got was a sour email or two. At the same time, he didn't lose anything either. He knew full well what he was getting into, so he didn't have the right to be upset when he was beat to the counter, so to speak. I've never sold a critter (or anything else) to anyone, but even I know that some customers will be upset, and I'd expect as much. I think you could have handled it better.

The point I'm trying to get across is that neither of you is right, and neither of you is wrong. This was an unfortunate transaction which happens a few times in everyone's lives.

I do hope you guys can work things out. It's better to make friends than enemies.

As I see the situation with Kevin, its First come, First Serve.. End of story...

If it were me in Mike's position of course I would be upset, but then it wouldve been my fault to not have sent some kind of payment to him first, THEN ask, hey can you add on something else? Would Kevin had a problem with it? No cuz then at least I know I got the snake I wanted, and then Kevin would most likely be happy to sell me something else, and *if* the shipping quote changed, then I would pay for the additional snake plus the difference for shipping, simple as that.

But, someone else beat Mike to the punch and he shouldve left it..Take the refund and walk away. Making a threat to post the deal on the BOI was just pointless, cuz once again, someone beat Mike to the punch.

It doesnt take a rocket scientist for figure out basic logic.
