Developer M2 has been behind all of these given their excellent track record in the quality of their emulation and they’ve just released their latest pair of titles. Those being Sega Ages Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sega Ages Puyo Puyo 2. I consider myself somewhat of an expert on Sonic the Hedgehog because I played Sonic 1-3 plus Sonic & Knuckles probably over a hundred times each. The first system I owned as a kid was a Sega Genesis and because I didn’t own many games I would just play these over and over again and honestly they just never grew old to me. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is probably my third favorite of the four but I hold all of them pretty close to my heart. I’ve been enjoying the Sega Ages lineup of titles on the Nintendo Switch and so when they announced that Sonic 2 was the next to join the lineup I was thrilled to jump in and race through this game once again. If for some reason you don’t know about Sonic 2 after all of these years then let me tell you about the story.
